KAIANA "KAIA" J. KOTERO

Vice-President Kaiana “Kaia” J. Kotero is a 16-year old student-athlete, community volunteer, and student body president. She was raised in Gardena, California with her parents, three sisters, and two cats. Brought up in a supportive and encouraging family, Kaia has adopted an altruistic mindset that is implemented in every aspect of her life.
Passionate about her school-community and relationships with peers, Kaia is currently an active participant in five service clubs, two cultural clubs, Student Body President of North High School’s ASB, and track team captain. She is the embodiment of hard work and ambition and is dedicated to assisting all individuals of our society.
Today, Assistant President Kotero proudly serves on the Young Leaders Political Action Committee. She is an individual who not only cares, but has the means and voice to act on behalf of those who fail to be heard. She is open to all challenges and strives to highlight the importance of unity and community as foundational aspects of a successful society. In her free time, she enjoys running, hanging out with friends and family, and singing.

Being part of this committee is of great importance to me, and representing the two million students in our state is nothing short of an honor and privilege.
