Governor Dugard YLPAC Official Portrait

Governor Pilar C. Dugard is a sixteen-year-old multi athlete and community volunteer. She was born in Torrance, California and raised by her mother who is a math teacher at West High School, and her father who is an emergency room doctor at Huntington Beach Hospital and Gardena Memorial Hospital. An important quote the Governor lives by is "The brick walls are there for a reason. They’re not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something."

Today, she leads the Young Leaders PAC, having previously served as the Vice-President, and is now returning to her original role as a Member of the Board of Governors. Governor Dugard strives in tackling issues and making a difference to her community. She is a hard ambitious worker who is constantly up for a challenge. She enjoys helping others around her, including friends and families and also volunteering in local hospitals.

Governor Dugard has made it her priority to spread positivity, unite people in her community, and create solutions for important issues. She currently attends The Hoosac School in Hoosick, New York, after having attended Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California for her first two years of high school. For fun, the Governor enjoys dancing, figure skating and is a longtime hockey player.

A Message from Governor Dugard

Thank you for visiting my website at the Young Leaders Political Action Committee. Representing the two million students of California is beyond important to my staff and me. Being a Member of the Board of Governors is not just any position to me. It is an opportunity to help lead and inspire all California's students in doing what is right today - to stand up, fight for what is right and never give up on our community. My team and I at the Young Leaders PAC want to be able to make a difference and to create a clear vision for the future. I welcome you to provide me with any feedback or comments to help make our state even better for California's youth.

Warm regards,

Member of the Board of Governors
