President Rebucas and Governor Short Take Action in Addressing Politically Motivated Violence

The President of the Young Leaders Political Action Committee co-authored a letter to the Attorney General of the United States with Governor Short, demanding justice for politically motivated attacks on American citizens.

On August 4, 2020, President Rebucas and Governor Short signed a memorandum to the Office of the Attorney General of the United States The Honorable William P. Barr requesting that the Department of Justice launch an investigation on the murder of Bernell Trammell, a Milwaukee resident murdered by gunshot. Many believe that his killing was due to his ardent support for the President of the United States.

In the letter, the President and Governor write -

The lack of attention these attacks have been getting is sad, however the lack of action taken by the Justice Department to bring these assailants to justice is embarrassing. A political organization run by teenagers in California should not have to write to you asking for justice. Justice delayed is justice denied -- and all Americans, young and old are being denied as we speak.
